Movimento é uma série de pinturas de trajeto: o espaço entre sair de um lugar e chegar a outro.
Movimento é exatamente o que vem após a cura. Olhar para fora de mim, sair da caverna, escalar paredes, seguir o rio, molhar os pés.
A pesquisa teve início com a coleta de registros de texturas de rochas, rios, pedras e lagos. Após a investigação anterior sobre as luzes refletidas nas paredes da minha casa, passei a perceber com mais atenção a superfície das coisas. Revisitei registros antigos de viagens e produzi novos também. Procurei a rigidez das rochas, a translucidez da água.
Em meio a esse processo, realizei uma cirurgia de correção da visão e, durante a recuperação, me vi com a visão completamente borrada por alguns dias. Fiz as pinturas de água ainda sem estar totalmente recuperada — pintei como se realmente olhasse através da água.

Movement is a series of paintings about transition: the space between leaving one place and arriving at another.
Movement is exactly what comes after healing. Looking outward, stepping out of the cave, climbing walls, following the river, letting my feet touch the water.
The research began with the collection of textures from rocks, rivers, stones, and lakes. Following my previous investigation of the light reflected on the walls of my home, I began to pay closer attention to the surfaces of things. I revisited old travel records and produced new ones as well. I looked for the rigidity of rock, the translucency of water.
In the midst of this process, I underwent vision correction surgery and, during recovery, found myself with completely blurred vision for a few days. I created the water paintings while still not fully recovered — painting as if I were truly seeing through water.
